Introduction to FIT
Your Gateway to FIT’s FCC License
Welcome to the FIT License Search & Management Portal
Forest Industries Telecommunications (FIT) has supported critical communication services for decades. This platform helps radio license holders easily search, manage, and track their FCC licenses through a simple, user-friendly interface.
Why the database exists?
FIT has been developing a backup database system to mirror the FCC’s Universal Licensing System (ULS), ensuring continued access to critical licensing information during government shutdowns, scheduled maintenance, or unexpected server outages. Reliable access to license data is essential for public safety, utilities, forestry, transportation, and other industries that depend on land mobile radio communications to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Database Overview
Why This Database Exists?
The FIT license database was created to give organizations and radio users a reliable, centralized place to access their FCC license information. Instead of searching through complex FCC systems, members can quickly find accurate records, track expiration dates, and manage their call signs in one simple portal.
FIT maintains a dedicated FCC license database so members can:
-
Access their license information quickly
Retrieve important licensing details without waiting on government systems, helping organizations stay informed and operational when time matters most.
-
Maintain access during outages or government shutdowns
Our mirrored database helps provide continuity when the FCC’s ULS experiences downtime, maintenance interruptions, or federal shutdown-related disruptions.
-
Monitor and manage critical radio system data
Members can review frequencies, emission designators, authorized locations, and other licensing information needed to support reliable communications operations.
The database contains key FCC license information from
-
Part 90
Private land mobile radio services used by businesses, public safety organizations, transportation services, utilities, and industrial operations.
-
Part 101
Fixed microwave communication services used for business communications, broadband transmission, and wireless infrastructure networks.
-
Part 22
Public mobile communication services supporting wireless communication systems and licensed operational networks.

Manual Data Updates
How FIT Keeps the Data Updated
FIT updates the license database manually to ensure all information remains accurate and reliable. Instead of relying on automated feeds, FIT imports official FCC data through periodic CSV uploads. Each upload refreshes the entire dataset,
so every search result you see reflects the most current and verified license information available. This process ensures data integrity and keeps members informed with up-to-date records.
